Karin Emond is a family lawyer based in Whistler, British Columbia, where she supports clients through the legal complexities of separation and divorce with a calm, compassionate, and strategic approach. She holds degrees in Human Kinetics and Law from the University of British Columbia, and completed international legal studies at the University of Otago in New Zealand.
Called to the British Columbia Bar in 2007, Karin has developed a respected family law practice serving clients throughout the Sea to Sky region. She has appeared before both the Provincial and Supreme Court of British Columbia and is trained in mediation, offering clients a range of dispute resolution options tailored to their needs.
Karin’s professional experience is complemented by a deep commitment to community. She is a former board member of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (BC Chapter) and remains active in the legal community as a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC.
Outside of the office, Karin is a proud mom, passionate backcountry skier, mountain biker, and surfer and loves travelling with her family. As a former tree planter and raft guide, her life experiences have shaped her grounded approach to both law and life.
