Profile
Jack Montpellier was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He obtained his Bachelors of Arts from the University of British Columbia in philosophy and English, going on exchange to the University of Otago in New Zealand. After, Jack spent time giving presentations on sustainability to students in Istanbul, Turkey, and backpacking through India.
Jack went on to study law at the University of Ottawa, where he was a Senior Editor for the Ottawa Law Review, and Vice President of the International Trade and Commerce Student Association.
Missing the mountains and ocean, Jack returned to the West Coast after law school and joined Race & Company in the summer of 2015. He has a general litigation practice, focusing on insurance defence, commercial litigation, real estate, municipal law, and estate-related issues.
When not working, Jack enjoys outdoor life in the Sea to Sky corridor including trail running, hiking, yoga, scuba diving, climbing, skiing, birding, and spending time with his young family.
Jack is also an active member of Squamish’s volunteer community and serves as a director on the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and as a supervising lawyer for the Squamish Poverty Law Advocacy Program.
Jack speaks both English and French.
