George maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on insurance defense and personal injury matters.
George began developing his passion for litigation while studying at Western University where he obtained his Juris Doctor with a capstone specialization in litigation. During his time at Western University, George co-founded an intercollegiate rugby club, was president of the Western Law Yearbook Committee, and assisted in organizing a mock trial for students at his alma mater, Wilfrid Laurier University. George also volunteered in the Western Law Legal Clinic as part of the Eviction Prevention Project, as well as, the criminal law advocacy program, which afforded him the opportunity to run hearings at tribunals and appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.
During his summers at law school, George volunteered assisting charities and not-for-profit organizations. He was particularly fond of the legal work he completed for Rainbow Railroad, a organization dedicated to assisting LGBTQ individuals seek asylum or refugee status while getting them out of dangerous situations.
Prior to joining Race and Company, George was an associate at a boutique insurance defense firm in Toronto, where he worked alongside one of Toronto’s top trial lawyers. George gained invaluable experience handling matters at every stage of the litigation process including appeals and appeared frequently before the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, and Small Claims Court.
